About Marian

Hat and Guitar

Marian Fellows has always loved to sing.  She sings when she is happy. She sings when she is sad.  She sings when she is alone and when she is with others.  She believes that singing is the best thing in the world, except maybe chocolate, and takes her passion into the classroom.  Marian has also enjoyed writing poetry for most of her life and it is logical that these two things would come together in the form of songs.  Strangely, songs were hard to write until about 2000 and then something happened and the songs just began to flow.  Marian thinks that her voice is a fuzzy voice that is incomplete without other voices and so usually records her songs with the children for whom they have been written.  It is at the urging of these children that this website has been built.  Please enjoy the songs, and come back to visit often.

Marian's Albums

Marian has recorded three collections of songs on CD.  The first CD, Season of Song, had a number of traditional songs as well as the first efforts of a budding song writer.  Following the success of her first release, Marian recorded The Song Goes On... and released it with much fan-fare. This collection was mostly original work, with the support of some traditional melodies.  Her third CD, Colour Me With Song, contained many new original works and was launched with a colouring in competion at all the schools Marian visits.  All of Marian's CDs are a mix of songs just for fun and songs that have a spiritual message.  These reflect Marian's Christian background, but the values are universal for the most part.  The Song Goes On.... and Colour Me With Song are still available for purchase as CDs.  The cost is A$15.00 plus postage.  Marian's fourth collection of songs has been released through this website.  It is called A New Song from the Isa and has been recorded live at St Joseph's School, Mt Isa.  Marian continues to write new songs and is looking forward to releasing another collection soon.
