Maranatha

Window at St. Joe's

Meditation is a very old form of prayer and it has in the past few years found its way into the prayer forms that are taught in the Catholic schools here in Townsville.  "Maranatha" is a very old word that means "Come Lord" and is used as a mantra for meditation.  I use a minor key to give an Eastern flavour to the chant.  It can be used on its own or as a lead in to a period of meditation.

Words for "Maranatha"

Maranatha, come my Lord.
Maranatha, come my Lord.
Maranatha, come my Lord.
Come, my Lord.
Come, my Lord.
Come, my Lord.
