Colour Me With Song

The notes on the CD cover state: As I reflected on the songs I have chosen for this album, I became aware of how many of the children in my life colour my thinking and creativity. From the chattering grade 5s (Chitter, Chatter) to the pre-schooler who needed a bit more time to think of the song she wanted to sing (Give Me Some Time) to the beautiful 10 year old with Cerebral Palsy who touched so many hearts with his smile (Matthew's Song) these songs come from that interaction and bring a deeper meaning to all that I do. Thank you to the children who so willingly shared their gifts to create this CD: Representing Good Shepherd Catholic Community School: Gabrielle, Taylor, Shea-Lee, Daniel, Corey and Laura. Representing Kirwan State School: Madelyn. Representing Southern Cross Catholic School: Gina, Phoebe, Stuart, Lucy, Tom, Emily, Madeleine, Danielle, Liberty and Jamie. Representing Cranbrook State School: Emma-Lea and Jackson. Representing Ryan Catholic College: Brittany, Sarah, Drew, Brodie, Jesse, Renee, Maddison, Matthew, Kaila, Kate, Emily, Jack, Nicholas, Jason, Ben, Rachael, Maddison, Emma, Kazia, Madelan, Kellie, Joshua, Rochelle, Shannon, Alanah, and Emma. Thank you to the teachers and parents who have continued to support my ministry in the schools. Thank you to Brendan of Tropic Records for his good humour and willingness to share his studio with the hordes of children brought in to do the recording. ...So, until next time, may your life be coloured with song.

Colour Me With Song is my third album. Again it is a balance of faith based songs and songs that reflect the experience of children. It is the first album that I have done on my own, with no one pushing me from behind. Does this mean I am gaining in confidence?
